Barry J. Krikstone
Professor of Psychology

Dr. Krikstone's current research interests are the areas of drugs and behavior and ethical issues in psychology; and he teaches courses on these topics. His other courses include General Psychology, Behavior Modification, Physiological Psychology and Mind and Body.

Sharon Lamb
Professor of Psychology

Dr. Lamb's undergraduate background is in English and music (vocal performance). At Harvard she specialized in counseling and consulting psychology and human development in the Graduate School of Education. Her research interests are girls’ development, blame and responsibility and sexual abuse and victimization. Her courses include, Gender issues in Psychology, Theories of Personality, Emotions and Emotional Development, and the department’s internship practicum

Ronald B. Miller
Professor of Psychology

Dr. Miller’s undergraduate degree is in philosophy, and his graduate concentration was clinical psychology. His research interests are the philosophy of psychology and the theories of psychotherapy. His courses include Abnormal Psychology, Personality Theories, Systems of Psychotherapy, Peace Psychology and graduate courses on clinical intervention and intensive psychotherapy.

Jeffrey B. Adams
Associate Professor of Psychology

Dr. Adams' graduate concentration was social/personality psychology. His research interests are the psychology of religious thought and behavior, pedagogy, and the interface between social and clinical psychology.  Among courses he teaches are General Psychology, Psychological Statistics, Research Methods, Social Psychology, Psychology of Religion, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Practicum on Interpersonal Skills.

David Boynton

Renee L. Carrico
Assistant Professor of Psychology
B.S. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; M.S., Ph.D. University of Massachusetts Amherst

Dr. Carrico’s work focuses on the perceptual-motor and cognitive development of infants and young children. From the development of infant reaching to cognition/action resource conflicts in toddlers, this research reflects her interest in the ways that children use knowledge and perceptions to guide their actions in the world. Her courses include Research Methods, Child Development, and Cognitive Development.

Carolyn Whitney

Molly Millwood
Assistant Professor of Psychology
B.A. University of California, Santa Cruz; M.A., Ph.D. University of Montana

Dr. Millwood's completed a pre-doctoral internship at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Hospital and a postdoctoral clinical fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. Her research interests are couples/marital therapy and relationship functioning; adult attachment; trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder and emotional numbing; borderline personality disorder and emotion dysregulation; infertility, post-pregnancy adjustment and impact of first child on relationship satisfaction. She teaches Introductory Interpersonal/Clinical Skills, Personality Theories and Research Methods. She lives in Bristol with her husband and their Siberian Husky and seven-toed cat. Born and raised in California, she learned to endure winters during several years in Montana. Molly enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, cooking and bluegrass music, and plans to open a private therapy practice in the Burlington area.
